SENECA CASINOS SPRINGS AHEAD WITH
ENTERTAINMENT FOR MARCH AND APRIL
Ron White, Jim Gaffigan, Clint Black added to concert lineup
NIAGARA FALLS and SALAMANCA, NY – Seneca Casinos will add a little country and lots of humor to kick off its entertainment lineup for the spring. Country legend Clint Black and Blue Collar Comedy Tour member Ron White come to Seneca Allegany Events Center in Salamanca, N.Y., in March and April. The comedy continues in April as Jim Gaffigan – one of 2012’s best-touring comedians – performs stand-up at Seneca Niagara Events Center in Niagara Falls, N.Y. In addition, the Bear’s Den Showroom in Niagara Falls will welcome José Feliciano, Eddie Money, and The Machine in March and April.
Singer, songwriter and guitarist Clint Black climbed the country charts with his 1989 debut and has continued to be one of country music’s brightest stars. He has earned a wide range of country music awards and recorded 13 No. 1 songs throughout his career, such as “A Better Man,” “Killin’ Time” and “When I Said I Do.” Black has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, has made guest appearances in both television and motion pictures, and is the founder of record label Equity Music Group. He performs a 7 p.m. show at Seneca Allegany Events Center on Saturday, Mar. 9, and tickets start at a bargain-price of $20.
One of the current top-selling comedians, Jim Gaffigan, comes to Seneca Niagara Events Center on Friday, Apr. 5 for an 8 p.m. show. His recently-released recording, “Mr. Universe,” is among this year’s GRAMMY® award nominees for Best Comedy Album. Gaffigan is also a writer and actor – having appeared in numerous hit television shows and movies – but is perhaps best known for his high-pitched “asides” and thrashing of the food Hot Pockets in his stand-up routine. Tickets start at $40.
Ron White, charter member of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, comes to the Seneca Allegany Events Center on Saturday, Apr. 6 – nearly two years to the day since his last visit to the venue, which sold out in just a few weeks. The cigar-smoking, scotch-drinking, pull-no-punches comedian is known for his nickname “Tater Salad” and the punch line, “You can’t fix stupid.” White has been one of the top three grossing comedians on tour in the U.S. during the past five years and also has three of the top-rated one-hour TV specials in the history of the Comedy Central network. Tickets for the 7 p.m. show start at $40.
Three captivating guitar performances – each very unique in its own right – are now part of the Bear’s Den Showroom lineup at Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel. Spanish guitarist José Feliciano, whose hits include a memorable Latin rendition of The Doors’ “Light My Fire” and the ever-popular Christmas tune “Feliz Navidad,” performs on Saturday, Mar. 2. Classic rock guitarist and singer-songwriter Eddie Money will fill the Bear’s Den with hits like “Two Tickets to Paradise,” “Baby Hold On” and “Take Me Home Tonight” on Friday, Mar. 22. Tickets for Jose Feliciano and Eddie Money each start at $50 and both shows begin at 8 p.m. Also performing at 8 p.m. on Friday, Apr. 6 is The Machine, billed as “America’s top Pink Floyd show.” Tickets start at $35.
Tickets for the just-announced March shows – Clint Black, JoséFeliciano, and Eddie Money – went on sale Monday, Jan. 7, and are available at Seneca Casino box offices, Ticketmaster.com, all Ticketmaster locations, or by phone at 800-745-3000. Tickets for the just-announced April shows – Jim Gaffigan, Ron White, and The Machine – go on sale Monday, Jan. 14, at noon.
Four additional star-studded shows were previously announced for the month of March. The incomparable “Queen of Soul” Aretha Franklin will deliver another masterful performance inside Seneca Niagara Events Center on Saturday, Mar. 2. Acclaimed singer-songwriter, poet and actress Jewel will perform at the venue two weeks later on Saturday, Mar. 16, as part of her upcoming Greatest Hits Tour. At Seneca Allegany Events Center on Sunday, Mar. 24, at 5 p.m., classic rock band Kansas will perform hits such as “Dust in the Wind” and “Carry On Wayward Son.” Also playing on Friday, Mar. 15, at the Bear’s Den Showroom is blues/zydeco singer-songwriter, pianist and guitarist Dr. John.
